I cut my programming teeth on FutureBASIC and HyperCard. Books tried teaching me Object Oriented Programming, but I never fully understood why anyone would model cats and dogs in software. Object Oriented Programming finally came to me when I started trying to create Java Applets and had to understand how paint() gets called without me writing an event loop. I moved on to more Java, Win32 API, MFC, and eventually C#. Now I'm back writing Mac and iOS software with Cocoa and Objective-C and trying to keep medical software running at my day job. I appreciate some APIs and languages more than others, but nothing's off limits. Good software doesn't come from certain tools; good software comes from talented programmers.

My professional career began by serving in the US Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician. While I enjoyed my time in the military I wanted to further my education and get a college degree. I attended William Woods University and received a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics. Following my undergraduate, I completed my Master of Business Administration. After finishing my education, I worked for multiple companies as a Warehouse Management System Administrator (on-site IT). I am currently working for a medical technology company as a System Engineer and moonlighting for Zen Computing, LLC. Working for Zen has provided me the opportunity to work with Drupal and ColdFusion as well as let my creative juices flow. I continue to learn and try to think of the next great million dollar idea!
